Eaton^1 Astronomy Department, Indiana University The eclipsing Wolf-Rayet binary V444 Cyg was observed 64 times with the spectrographs aboard the IUE satellite (Boggess et al. 1978) in late April and around 1 November 1981. Fifty-three observations were obtained with the short-wavelength spectrograph, 11 with the long-wavelength spectrograph. The observations were made with control of the satellite at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center. All spectra were taken at low dispersion and all but one, not used here, with the large aperture. Exposure times were generally 300 sec for short-wavelength spectra and 150 sec for long-wavelength spectra. Table 1 gives the details of the observations. There, the first column lists the image numbers of the spectra, the second column, the Universal Times of their midpoints, and the third column, their exposure times in seconds. We have integrated 25 square bandpasses over the spectra; their limiting wavelengths are given in Table 2. Six of these bands were chosen to coincide with strong lines: B1 with N V lambda11240, B6 with Si IV lambda1400, B9 with N IV] lambda1486, B12 with C IV lambda1550, B16 with He II lambda1640, and B18 with N IV lambda1718. The ratio of Delta lambda/lambda for the bands designed to measure strengths of emission lines is about the same as for the bands used by Khaliullin and Cherepashchuk (1976). In the list the photometry is given on a magnitude system for which m_lambda = -2.5 log f_lambda - 21.097, where f_lambda is the flux at the earth at the effective wavelength of the band. The constant 21.097 places these data on the same magnitude system as the V band. The photometry for the 25 bands is given in Table 3. In addition to ultraviolet spectra we have 63 measurements of the brightness of the system in a broad band centered in the green obtained with the IUE fine-error sensor (Holm and Rice 1981). These data have been reduced to an FES magnitude by using the equation of Holm and Rice, derived at Goddard Space Flight Center, without the color term. They are listed in Table 4. These observations are being analyzed by Eaton, Cherepashchuk, and Khaliullin (1982 and in preparation). REFERENCES Boggess, A., et al. 1978, Nature, 275, 2. Eaton, J. A., Cherepashchuk, A.
