COMMISSION 27 OF THE I. A. U. INFORMATION BULLETIN ON VARIABLE STARS Number 2850 Konkoly Observatory Budapest 20 January 1986 HU ISSN 0374 - 0676 PHOTOELECTRIC TIMES OF MINIMUM LIGHT OF BL ERIDANI The first photoelectric observations of BL Eridani ( = HV 6227) were obtained in December 1980 and January 1981 with the 0.6-m telescope at Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory in Chile. Differential measurements made on five nights in B and V resulted in 520 individual observations in each bandpass. Each observation is the average of two ten-second integrations. The times of minimum light shown in Table I were determined by an iterative process using the method of Hertzsprung (1928). Visual times of minimum light were previously published by Locher (1978a, 1978b, 1978c). The O-C values in Table I were computed from the following ephemeris: Min I (Hel. J.D.) = 2444606.5914 + 0.41696010 E +-.0085 +-.00001013 (p.e.) which was derived by a least squares analysis utilizing all the available data. The epochs of minimum light were weighted 10 to 1, photoelectric to visual. The observations, period study, and analyses of the light curves are being published separately. Table I.
