                EXAMINATION OF KY AQUILAE

  Photographic observations of the stars A and B (see the note in I.B.V.S.
No. 1605 by Dr. D. Hoffleit) were carried out in order to clear up the ambiguous
identification of KY Aquilae. The camera of 10 cm was used through 1979
and 1981, and the 18 cm Wright-Schmidt camera in 1982, with Tri-X films and
yellow-green filters to get visual magnitude. The total number of photographs
was about 150.

  During the above period of observation, the original KY Aql, A, did not
show the variation of more than 0.3 magnitudes (13.2-13.5 m_v ), and any short
periodicity could not be found. The star B showed periodic variation as is
shown in Fig. 1. It seems to be a SRa variable, and the range was 11.5-12.6
m_v so far. The variation is fairly well expressed by the following elements:

The observed maxima and the O-C values with the above elements are as follows.

  The position of the star given in the GCVS (1969) is that of the original
star A, and the position of star B is measured as
