COMMISSION 27 OF THE I. A. U. INFORMATION BULLETIN ON VARIABLE STARS Number 2151 Konkoly Observatory Budapest 1982 May 25 HU ISSN 0374-0676 PHOTOELECTRIC OBSERVATION OF W UMa (BD+56d1400) This well known eclipsing variable has been observed for the last four months. Here we present the latest light curve obtained on April 6, 1982 at the Ege University Observatory, Izmir. The 48 cm cassegrain telescope and a single channel unrefrigerated photometer was employed. In Figure 1, the light curves obtained in B and V colours respectively are presented. The phases were calculated according to the light elements: JD Hel Min I 2444986.3624 + 0.33363808d. The minimum times are, JD Hel Min I 2445066.4356 JD Hel Min II 2445066.2689 [FIGURE 1] Figure 1. The light curve of W UMa in B and V colours, obtained on April 6, 1982 In this time of the observing season the primary minimum comes first and the secondary one appears later, therefore in order to present a continuous light curve the secondary minimum is drawn first.
