COMMISSION 27 OF THE I. A. U. INFORMATION BULLETIN ON VARIABLE STARS Number 2070 Konkoly Observatory Budapest 1982 January 13 HU ISSN 0374-0676 OBSERVATIONS OF THE 1981 ECLIPSE OF RZ Oph The long period Algol-type binary RZ Oph was photoelectrically observed in summer 1981 at the University Observatory in Brno. During 9 observing nights spread in the time period between 1 June and 4 September 33 and 27 individual observations were performed in the V and B colours, respectively. The observations cover relatively large portions of the light curve out of the eclipse, the disk eclipse before the 1st and after the 4th contacts, and the whole phase of the totality. We did not succeed in observing the descending and ascending branches of the eclipse, this is why the whole light curve of the eclipse as well as its time minimum cannot be presented here. The observed depths of the minimum - 0.73 mag in the V colour and 1.57 mag in the B one - are in very good accordance with the measurements performed by Baldwin (1978) and Baldinelli and Ghedini (1977). The presented observations are attached to the three comparison stars BD +7d3828 V = 10.18 B = 11.52 +-2 +-3 BD +6d3928 V = 9.94 B = 11.14 +-2 +-3 BD +6d3918 V = 9.16 B = 10.51 +-1 +-1 The photometric data for these stars were derived from the measurements of 8 standard stars in the neighbourhood of the variable. The observations of RZ Oph grouped in the normal points representing each observing night follow. --------------------------- J.D.
