COMMISSION 27 OF THE I. A. U. INFORMATION BULLETIN ON VARIABLE STARS Number 1925 Konkoly Observatory Budapest 1981 February 93 HU ISSN 0374-0676 PHOTOMETRY OF WZ Sge WZ Sge was observed shortly after its 1978 outburst using the 36" Yapp reflector at RGO equipped with a "People's Photometer". Simultaneous B, V measurements were made in the sequence sky-comp-sky- WZ-sky-comp-sky under rather poor conditions, with an integration time of 20^s; star 'c' of Krzeminski and Kraft (1964) was used as the comparison. [FIGURE 1] The results are shown in Figure 1. The V amplitude approaches 0.2m and a broad primary minimum is present, approximately in phase with the pre-outburst ephemeris (Robinson et al., 1978) shown in the figure. There is some evidence for the flickering reported by McGraw and Patterson (1978) but nothing quantitative can be said because of the poor sky conditions. I. D. HOWARTH Dept.
