         NOTES ON SIX LONG-PERIOD VARIABLE STARS




   On 509 Bamberg Sky Survey plates, the poorly known stars
DF, DG, DH, DL Pav, RY and RZ Pic were investigated using the
Argelander-step-method. Comparison stars were determined by the
Selected Areas no. 169, 196, 197 (1). Table I gives the maxima
and minima, found by the Pogson method.

                N= Number of used plates, M=Maximum, m=Minimum.

RY Pic = HV 8090 varies in the limits 10.6m- (14.1mpg. From the
whole material, a period of 219d may be possible.
RZ Pic = S 4864. Together with the GCVS epoch (2), we found
Max=2425663d + 311d E. Variable in the limits 10.0m- 14.0mpg.
DF Pav varies from 11.9m to 14.8mpg. The period is in the order
of 374d, the lightcurve is strongly variable. The star belongs
to the SRa-type.
DG Pav is variable from 11.9m to less than 14.1mpg.
DH Pav. From the table we found Max=2438604d + 244d E.
Variable in the limits 11.7m - (14.4mpg.
DL Pav varies from 11.0m to less than 14.7mpg. The period is in
the order of 174d.
