COMMISSION 27 OF THE I. A. U. INFORMATION BULLETIN ON VARIABLE STARS Number 1330 Konkoly Observatory Budapest 1977 August 18 NOTE ON V 644 Cen = HD 306989 (B3) This variable star, investigated by O'Connell (1) and Gaposchkin (2), was suspected to be an eclipsing variable. They found a descending branch to a deep minimum in 1950 with an amplitude from 9.55m - 10.25m pg. No later observations have been published. An examination - with Argelander-step-method - of 271 Bamberg Sky Survey plates leads to the 100d - mean magnitudes of the table. The star returned to a new maximum light of 8.86m pg. Used comparison stars are CPD - 59d3803 (B8) 8.42m pg CPD - 59d3734 (B8) 9.19m pg Table of observations Date (J.D.) Mag.(pg.)
