INFORMATION BULLETIN ON VARIABLE STARS Number 1115 Konkoly Observatory Budapest 1976 March 18 CSV 8871 CSV 8871 = BV 324 was discovered by Strohmeier, and announced as an eclipsing binary (11.9m - 12.5m ph) (Veroff. Remeis-Sternwarte Bamberg, Bd. V, 5. 1960). I examined this star on 144 sky patrol plates of the Bruno- H.-Burgel-Observatory Hartha (JD.2436985-42741) and found that the star was of beta Lyrae-type with following preliminary elements: Min.(hel.) = JD. 2437017.434 + 1.5146774d E (EB) (11.26m - 11.91m / 11.88m ph) Observed minima: Min.(hel.) 24...
