COMMISSION 27 OF THE I. A. U. INFORMATION BULLETIN ON VARIABLE STARS Number 1109 Konkoly Observatory Budapest 1976 March 3 AN URSAE MAJORIS AS AN ECLIPSING BINARY Recently Kukarkin (1975) indicated that the novalike variable AN Ursae Majoris is an eclipsing binary of short period. A preliminary analysis of data obtained at Kitt Peak National Observatory appear to confirm this result. The star was monitored photoelectrically in blue light on three nights with the No. 2, 0.9-meter reflector. Four minima were observed at the times given below. The residuals, second column, are based on light elements that combine Kukarkin's value for the epoch with a somewhat shorter period, Min. J.D. hel. = 2442502.285 + 0.1594205 E. A more complete discussion is to be published. JD hel 2442000 + 805.9813 +0.0002 806.9378 +0.0001 807.7345 -0.0002 807.8938 -0.0003 G.S. MUMFORD Tufts University Medford, Mass.
