         PHOTOELECTRIC TIMES OF MAXIMA OF BW Vul




   Photoelectric V-band observations of BW Vulpeculae were made
in 1979 and 1975 with a 40 cm Cassegrain reflector and single-channel 
photoelectric photometer equipped with an EMI 6256B photomultiplier. 
Each observation consisted of the average of three ten-second
integrations. The stars SAO 70596, 89134 and 89135 were used as the
comparison and check stars.
   The heliocentric Julian dates of the observed maxima, along with
the O-C values resulting from Huffer's ephemeris (1937) with period
P = 0.20103d and from our revised period P = 0.201032d using Huffer's
initial epoch are given in the table below.

The revised period P=0.201032d also reduces by a factor of ten the
O-C values of the times of maxima observed by Walker (1954). The 
following new ephemeris is suggested for this star's times of maxima:

           Hel. JD (max) = JD 2,442,678.8780+0.201032d E
