COMMISSION 27 OF THE I. A. U. INFORMATION BULLETIN ON VARIABLE STARS Number 971 Konkoly Observatory Budapest 1975 March 10 A NEW ECLIPSING VARIABLE The star alpha_1900.0=5h46m33s, delta_1900.0=+16deg16'.5 was observed by the writer visually from 3.X.1947 to 26.III.1960. 106 estimates of brightness were obtained and it was found that the star is an eclipsing variable of beta Lyrae type. The following data were determined : m_{max,vis}=10m.9; A_1=0m.60; A_2=0m.35, period P=1d.98453 and the elements: JD hel 2437016.357+1d.98453.E. The figure gives the chart of the variable's neighbourhood taken from "Carte Photographique du Ciel" Bordeaux, Zone+16deg, No. 44. The new eclipsing variable is situated close to the north of the known eclipsing variable AM Tau. [FIGURE 1] R. SZAFRANIEC 31-501 Krakow ul. Kopernika 27 Polska.
