   NEW SPECTRAL CLASSIFICATIONS FOR VARIABLES WRONGLY
          SUSPECTED OF BEING CARBON STARS


The following named variable stars either have published
spectral classifications as carbon stars, or are near enough
to known carbon stars to suggest that they may be identical
with them; the published C classifications, where they exist,
are cited here. My classifications were performed on red-region 
objective prism plates.
