COMMISSION 27 OF THE I. A. U. INFORMATION BULLETIN ON VARIABLE STARS NUMBER 506 Konkoly Observatory Budapest 1971 January 18 HBV 476 By photoelectric observations with the 60 cm reflector the star BD +60.2321 (= AGK_2 +60.1430 = HD 208960 (G0)) formerly suspected to be variable by WACHMANN (unpublished) turned out to be a new bright variable of Delta Cephei type. The derived amplitude is 0.6m in B and 0.5m in V, the maximum brightness being 8.3m and 7.4m in B and V respectively. The following preliminary elements can be quoted Max = 244 0935.51 + 2.11391d . E The UBV observations of HBV 476 will be continued. P. KLAWITTER Hamburger Sternwarte Germany
