              3 HYA = HD 72968

     We wish to announce the period of magnetic variation 
of 3 Hya (=HD 72968), which we have found to be 4d.606.
The analysis was carried out on the published measurements
of field intensities as reported by Babcock (Ap.J.Suppl.,3,
141, 1958). The method by which such data are analyzed will
be published elsewhere,
      The ephemeris is given by
   J.D. (magnetic minimum) = 2433002.63 + 4d.606 E,

The accompanying graph shows the magnetic measurements with
phases computed from the above formula.
