           FLARE ACTIVITY OF UV Ceti

     Further observations of UV Ceti were made at Boyden
Observatory following the recent International Observational
period of 3 - 18th October, as part of the flare star programme 
of the Department of Astronomy of the University of
the Orange Free State. The seven flares observed during
that period were the subject of a previous communication to
IBVS. Relevant details are given in the table. A total of
18 flares were recorded over the period.

     The 40 cm Nishimura reflector was used to monitor
the flares along with a Johnson B. Filter and E.M.I. type
6256 photomultiplier tube.
