	The period of V796 Cyg, given in the First Supplement to the
Second Edition of the GCVS, Moscow 1960, page 37, could be improved
by considering estimated minima on Bamberg sky patrol plates.

			NOUVELLE ETOILE VARIABLE

	En etudiant l'etoile variable Br 51, signalee par M. BRUN
("37 etoiles variables noumelles dans Lacerta" - Journal des Observateurs
vol. 47, 46, 1964) j'ai trouve une etoile susceptible d'etre une
etoile variable nouvelle. Sa position est

	1900,0		22. 26. 07	+ 48deg39,2
	1950,0		22. 28. 11      + 48deg54,6

	Les deux cartes sont des agrandissements a l'echelle de
1deg = 12 cm de plaques Ferrania LS 61 exposees

	a - le   6. 7. 1964  de  22h41  a  23h11  (TU)
	b - le   8. 9. 1964  de  20h50  a  21h50  (TU)

a l'aide d'une chambre photographique equipee d'un objectif Berthiot-
Olor, f = 500 mm, f/D = 6.
	L'etoile suspecte ne figure pas dans le Catalogue Photographique
du Ciel, section de Catania. Elle figure sur les planches 590 et 599
de l'Atlas de Palomar.
