In all 77 Astrograph plates have been examined. There is another flare observed on a single plate 1964 Sep. 1/2, 243 8640.554. According to Palomar Sky Atlas the star is reddish, but obviously not red enough for Spectrum M. Sonneberg Observatory C. HOFFMEISTER
