COMMISSION 27 OF THE I. A. U. INFORMATION BULLETIN ON VARIABLE STARS NUMBER 23 Konkoly Observatory Budapest 18 April 1963 ON THE LIGHT VARIABILITY OF THE OBJECT IDENTIFIED WITH THE RADIO SOURCE 3 C-273 Examination of 44 plates of the Sternberg Astronomical Institute at Moscow obtained during 1896-1960 and also of the Wolf-Palisa and Palomar charts shows that the star-like object identified with the radio-source 3 C-273^+ is variable within the limits 12m.0- 12m.7 (pg). Most of the plates were measured by means of an iris- photometer. Also plates obtained during April-June show the possibility of smaller light variations with amplitudes of 0m.2-0m.3 and lasting a few days.
